Yes, Lissa Sprinkles is gone and I was blessed to be there. She was gone when I got there at 12:30, having passed on peacefully some time after her son left for work, between check-in’s by the new caregiver. Lissa had a deep connection with Spirit. I see Spirit reaching out and gently taking Lissa’s hand. She just smiled, no argument, no fuss, no thinking “it’s time.” Just taking that hand and Knowing this IS right, and so it is, Amen.
Lissa loved in her lifetime. She brought Spirit to others and so she was loved in her lifetime. Lissa was a lifetime well spent. I was born on Lissa’s birthday, March 16. Maybe that’s why I was called to be there yesterday. Why doesn’t matter. Lissa wasn’t about WHY. Story goes Reverend Michael told her long ago that he didn’t want to be a minister. And Lissa smacked him. She didn’t ask WHY. Lissa was not about WHY. She was a great woman. I thought to tell the Paramedics this when they arrived to work on her. But I didn’t. What I said was “This is Lissa Sprinkles.” I miss you, Baby.
